Itinerary
Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen
Pick you up from your accommodation, airport or the port then drive to Cap Spartel the northernmost west point of Africa, and the meeting point between the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean sea. mountainous rocky summit of the Moroccan coast, south of the entrance to the Straits of Gibraltar, which is considered one of the most important maritime crossings in the world. Day 2: Chefchaouen Exploring
Chefchaouen is known as “the blue city,” with its blue washed walls. You’ll have time to rest and leisurely explore this fascinating city and enjoy its charming people in their traditional dress..Ect. free time and overnight in chefchaouen.
Day 3: Chefchaouen - Fes
Half day visit the city. Chefchaouen was founded in 1471 by Jews fleeing Spain due to Spanish crusades, they settled and turning the city into a blue color which they believed it was the color of the sky that reminds them of God. and people have stuck to this blue tradition. Most of the city's residents moved to Israel after the Second World War and they left behind their heritage blue buildings. The locals and the Town government took care and preserve the city's blue flag. The aesthetic blue makes the city of Chefchaouen one of the most important tourist sites in Morocco where roads, houses, streets and everything is blue and beautiful . After lunch, you drive to Fes through Volubilis the ancient Berber Roman ruins, which are spread over a wide area and afford beautiful views over the valley and hills, then Continue to the Imperial City of Meknes stop there to visit arround then drive to Fes drop at your accommodation, free time and overnight stay.
Day 4: Fes Guided visit
After breakfast, full day guided tour to discover the historical heritage of Fes city, the tour allows you to explore historical sites such as Madrasa EL Bouinania, El Quaraoiyin mosque and university, south tower, pottery village, Nejjarine Square, the residence of the king , Tanners, Jewish quarter and more . free time and Overnight stay in Fes.
Day 5: Fes - Merzouga
In the morning we’ll drive toward the Sahara desert, stopping first in Ifran, known as Little Switzerland. Then we’ll continue through the Cedar Forest where, with luck you’ll see Barbary apes. Most of the drive will be through the scenic Atlas Mountains and the Ziz Valley. After lunch in Midelt, we continue the drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, stopping at scenic views along the way. We’ll arrive in the village of Merzouga on the edge of the desert by the afternoon and check into your riad.
Day 6: Merzouga Exploring
After breakfast you can explore Merzouga and see how the villagers irrigate their crops in an oasis. Then it’s on to the village of Khamila, home to the black people who were brought to Morocco as slaves decades ago. You’ll be treated to a performance of their unique Gnawa music and have lunch in the village. Return to your riad for a rest before heading out on camels into the Sahara Desert where you will become more than just a tourist. You’ll spend the night in tents in our comfortable desert camp, equipped with flush toilets and showers. Day 7: Merzouga - Dades Valley
In the morning, your camel guide will awaken you to enjoy the beauty of the sunrise over the sand dunes. This experience is considered one of the trip’s highlights. After your breakfast in the middle of the Erg Chebbi dunes, you’ll ride your camels back to the village of Merzouga. Our next stop will be at the city of Erfoud, known as the Paradise of Geology. If you are interested, a tour can be arranged to one of the fossil factories and showrooms before heading out to the Todra Gorges and Todra Valley Once in the Gorges, you can hike around old kasbahs and then enjoy lunch by the Gorges, considered the highest and narrowest gorges in the country where rock climbers from all over the world come here to test their skills, free time and overnight stay.
Day 8: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate
After breakfast at your riad, we’ll drive to Ouarzazate via the Dades Valley, with its dramatic rock formations and ancient kasbahs, and then on to the Rose Valley, known for its damask roses that are harvested in April. Continuing on our journey, we’ll head to Ouarzazat, known as African Hollywood, where you can see the Taourirt Kasbah and tour the movie studios, and then check into your accommodation.
Day 9: Ouarzazate - Marrakech
After breakfast at your riad we’ll travel to Marrakech via the Ait ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest kasbah in Morocco where movies such as The Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Lawrence of Arabia and The Jewel of the Nile were filmed. Then on to Marrakech through the Tichka Pass that is considered as one of the highest mountains in Morocco. We will arrive in Marrakech and overnight stay.
Day 10: Marrakech Guided visit
After breakfast, guided visit of Marrakech, The visit includes : - The Saadian tombs, that was date back from the time of the sultan Ahmad al-Mansur (1578-1603), - Ben Youssef Medersa established by the Sultan " Abou el Hassan (1331–49), - El Bahia Palace, is a beautiful building and an excellent example of Moroccan Architecture from the 19th century, -The Koutoubia mosque which is the largest mosque in Marrakech, the minaret was completed under the reign of the Almohad Caliph Yaqub al- Mansur (1184-1199) and was used as the model for the Giarlda of Seville and Hassan Tower of Rabat. - Majorelle Garden is filled with colorful walkways, ponds, cactus and plants as well as a beautiful shop with hand-made goods. The Majorelle Gardens are a lush, garden estate designed by Jacque Majorelle and maintained by Yves Saint Laurent. Jemaa el-Fnaa square and market place in Marrakesh's medina quarter. It remains the main and famous square of Marrakesh, free time. Overnight stay in Marrakech.
Day 11: Marrakech - Essaouira
After breakfast at your riad, you’ll leave for Essaouira and Mogador, the City of Wind where surfers from all over the world come to enjoy their favorite sport. Along the way we’ll drive through the Land of Argan, the only place in the world where argan trees grow. You can visit one of the women’s cooperatives to see how the argan oil is made, by hand, the old fashioned way. When we arrive in Essaouira you’ll have time to explore this blue and white city on the Atlantic Ocean, where, for centuries, many different cultures lived side-by- side. Enjoy lunch in one of the local restaurants before we head back to your accommodations in Marrakech.
Day 12: Airport Transfer
Transfer to Marrakech or Casablanca airport where your trip ends.
